Reappraisal of Declared Disaster Area

The Texas Property Tax Code allows local governmental entities to authorize Appraisal Districts to reappraise property inside a declared disaster area.

A reappraisal of property affected by the recent flooding will be conducted if requested by the local taxing entities.

A major portion of this process involves assistance by the property owners. Please submit evidence now to expedite the potential future reappraisal.

Evidence can include any of the following: Photos of Damage, Insurance Estimates, Contractor Estimates, Receipts for Repairs, FEMA Documents or any related repair costs due to disaster damage.

All affected areas will be reviewed for 2018.
